Why is the course important/ Course Overview
This qualification is aimed at people working within the licensed retail sector, particularly those working in pubs, clubs and bars who might come into contact with illegal drug users or drug dealers. It will enable learners to identify illegal drugs and to recognise the signs of drug use and drug dealing. The qualification will also enable learners to understand the legal issues surrounding drug use and how to develop a policy to combat drug use and drug dealing on licensed premises.
Qualification Structure
The assessments enable candidates to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of:
Drugs classification and legislation
- Drug use on licensed premises
- Combating drug use on licensed premises

30 Multiple Choice examination questions
Previous Learning Requirements:
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.
Additional Information:
Candidates should have a level of English that enables them to communicate effectively within the context of a licensed retail environment.
Refresher/ Development Training:
This is an excellent follow on to the SIA Qualification and beneficial to anyone that may be in contact with drug users.
