About Us
Specific Training was established in 2006 and has utilised the extensive training expertise of a number of trainers to develop into Northern Ireland leading companies. Expertise has been gained by providing Health and Safety, Personal Safety and bespoke training courses to individuals, organisations and companies in addition to the public sector for over ten years.
Continued professional development and reflective practice has enabled specific training to remain both current and fully in touch with the constantly evolving marketplace. The Company is in the process of securing new purpose built premises in Coleraine and currently offer both onsite or training at a number of venues throughout Northern Ireland, including Ballymena, Ballymoney, Coleraine, Derry/ L’Derry, Limavady and Magherafelt. We have also secured the use of various premises in Belfast.
In addition to the listed courses Specific Training can conduct a ‘Training Needs Analysis’ for your organisation and suggest a range of options to safeguard the liabilities placed on the employee and employer. This is in addition to the preparation of ‘Risk Assessments’ and policies that benefit all organisations.
Our staff currently include the following people:
Steven: Is the company director and currently reviews all training practices within the company. He is vastly experienced at delivering training within the work place and to individuals. He has a strong interest in developing ‘blended’ learning to enable wider course access for learners.
David: Is the senior training consultant and been with the company for nearly three years now. With specialisms in developing programs for larger projects and his experience in conflict management he is responsible for reviewing course content and developing new markets.
Jo: Has recently joined Specific Training and will be responsible for liaison with awarding bodies and providing an initial investigation/ review into any issues raised by clients. Jo has extensive experience as a training manager and her role is highly valued within the company.
Elaine: With over 7 years experience in the sales and business development field Elaine is new to the training environment. However with strong communication skills and completion of the PTTLS Level 4 and A1 assessor awards along with her experience within the hospitality industry Elaine is fast becoming established as a trainer within the sector.
